About Midlands Response
Midlands Response is a 24-hour biohazard and trauma response line for the Columbia, South Carolina Midlands. We exist for one reason: so that no family in the Midlands has to face a biohazard cleanup alone, or do it themselves.
What we do
When you call Midlands Response, you reach a local response coordinator — any hour, any day. The coordinator takes the basics of your situation and dispatches a certified, licensed, and insured remediation crew to your address. For urgent biohazard and trauma situations, that crew is typically on-site within hours.
We coordinate the full range of after-incident property services across the Midlands: unattended death and trauma cleanup, suicide and crime scene remediation, blood and biohazard decontamination, sewage cleanup, hoarding cleanup, infectious disease disinfection, and estate cleanout.
Our standards
Every crew dispatched through Midlands Response is certified in bloodborne-pathogen safety, properly licensed, and insured. Biohazardous material is removed and disposed of as regulated waste, and affected areas are disinfected to a verified safe standard — not simply wiped down.
Crews arrive in unmarked, unbranded vehicles and work discreetly. Protecting the privacy and dignity of the family is not an extra; it is part of how this work is done.
Our promise
We will answer the phone. We will treat you with compassion and never with pressure. We will explain how the cost is likely to be handled — through insurance, the estate, or a victim compensation program — before any work begins. And we will take the difficult, dangerous part off your hands so you can focus on your family.
